What kind of img-file is this. I have tried severel burning softwares but they will not accept it.

Mounted in DAEMON but when I try to run it,

As the info says: gmapsupp.img version. It is _not_ an iso of a DVD, you can't mount it.

This img file is the map itself, you need a Garmin program or Garmin hardware to use it.

You have to put it to your Garmin GPS device or to your phone and use Garmin Mobile XT or to your PC and use Garmin Mobile PC.

Thank you Nincenex. I use Mapsource and I have a number of maps in it. Some of them are downloaded into my eTrex Vista navigator. Usually I install maps into Mapsource using a setup file. How can I get Mapsourse to see this img-file? It is obviously not enough to copy it to a mapdirectory under the Garmin folder where all the other maps are located and I have not found any utility in Mapsource to import such an img-file. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, that's true. This is _not_ going to work in MapSource directly.

If you want to use it on PC, you can use this kind of maps (gmapsupp.img) in Garmin MobilePC, or you can convert this file to MapSource format. If you convert it, you will loose search ability, but maybe you don't need that.

Whats the original key inside de .img-file?
I need it to change it with a hex editor and put in my own. Before its possible to find it i need the key to do a search in the file. Manual this cannot be done.

Use GMapTool to add unlock code to .img file! Download it from here:

Use command gmt.exe -w -u YOURCODECOMESHERE12312345 gmapsupp.img

BTW: there is no unlock code in this .img file!

Hello

can somebody help me ?
When I put the gmapsupp.img into the garmin folder in my memory card, then open gmobilxt and go to, tools/ manage my data/ map sets I see the map as a detailed map. But when I try to view the map it is like there is no map.
Have tried almost everything, someone please help me !!!!!!
